Plush Ruins

Participating artist:

Plush Ruins, is an interactive sculptural installation that represents the aftermath of an unnamed event. This new work explores the subject of catastrophe, a theme of broadcast news, blockbuster film and contemporary consciousness. An installation of canvas and foam Plush Ruins takes an imaginative and absurdist approach to the often spectacular and sublime nature of the mediated catastrophe. Recalling childhood playgrounds, this tactile installation invites viewers to destroy, construct or simply lie among the ruins.
